Being a wine & spirit lover, I spend a lot of time at my local BC liquor store…
Besides the obvious appeal for the place, I thoroughly enjoy their internal magazine, called ‘TASTE’. This magazine is not only a big ad for their products, it contains a lot of great information, like recipes and articles on winemakers or bartenders, for instance. The reading is great and the pictures too… (I’m sure you were wondering where I was going with my rambling!)
The man is charge of the editorial photography is Ken Mayer from Ken Mayer Studios.
Ken Mayer does an amazing job with bottles, glasses and plates. So, if you are into food photography, pay attention to what he does! If you’re lucky enough to live in British Columbia, pick up a copy of ‘TASTE’ magazine and make it a reference for your photography.
