I met with Daryl Benson today, as he was autographing his latest book in Langley, BC, Canada.
Daryl is doing a signing tour across British Columbia right now, just in time to enjoy some of the 2010 Winter Olympics action while around Vancouver.
What I like about professional photographers is that they (usually) are nice guys, passionate about their craft, ready to talk and share their experience. Daryl is no exception: a nice down-to-earth, soft-spoken gentleman, who has gone all over the world, but doesn’t brag about it. You can tell his eyes have witnessed some amazing scenery over the years and you wish you could spend a day with him listening to him recounting his traveling!
Based out of Edmonton, AB, Canada, Daryl has a particular attachment to Canada, with 2 spectacular books, ‘Alberta’ and ‘Canada’, to date. I picked up my signed copy of ‘Canada’ today and I am blown away by the amazing photographs gathered in this book!
